Marcus DuBray has been focusing on his paintings, sculptures and photography professionally
since 2001.
Since his early days as a university art student in North Carolina, first showings in Colorado and Arizona, to recent exhibitions in California, his work has become increasingly refined, detailed,provocative and sought after.
Through dreamy illusions as well as realistic imagery contrasted with layers of information or prefabricated items, Marcus challenges himself and his viewers to go deep into themselves to ponder,question,smile and laugh. He shocks and delights.
His diverse portfolios range from brooding black and white pointillism pieces, mixed media collage paintings to fully realized color abstractions in every shape and size. Transcending the mundane, each piece reflects the artist’s belief that every human being is more than a singular entity.
